Raquel Fernández Carril
Raquel Fernández Carril obtained an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela in June 2002. In October 1998, she was admitted to the PhD Programme in English Linguistics and from December 2000 to July 2003 she worked at the Department of English as a researcher funded by the Autonomous Government of Galicia. She conducted independent research as a Visiting Scholar in the School of English Studies at the University of Nottingham. In July 2008 she passed the national examination qualifying her for a permanent position as a high school English teacher. In May 2010, she was awarded a PhD with distinction from the USC. She taught at the EOI (Official school of languages) for three years and she currently teaches English at IES Antonio Fraguas (Santiago de Compostela).
