Vanesa Rodríguez Juíz

Vanesa Rodríguez obtained a BA in English Language and Literature at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She went on to complete the Spanish equivalent of a PGCE, a Postgraduate course in Foreign Languages for Business, and PhD courses in English Studies (also at the University of Santiago). She continued to pursue her interests in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, and subsequently undertook a Postgraduate Course in Teaching Spanish for Business accredited by the Complutense University of Madrid, and several training courses organised by the Cervantes Institute, where she also qualified as Tutor and Examiner of DELE B1, B2, C1, and C2. Following this, she obtained an MA in Translation Studies (University of Manchester) and an MA in e-Learning: Design, Tutoring and Management of e-Learning Projects (University of Seville); she is currently studying for an MA in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (University of La Rioja). She worked from 2004 to 2015 as a Spanish Tutor at the Universities of Liverpool, Exeter and Manchester. She is particularly interested in Language Teaching Methodology, New Technologies in Education, e-Learning, Languages for Specific Purposes, and Applied Translation.
