Saleta obtained a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela in June 2005. In October of the same year she was admitted to the PhD programme in English Linguistics, where she completed two years of postgraduate courses and research work. Since October 2005 she has been working as a teacher of English for the Caixa Galicia Foundation, in Santiago de Compostela. In October 2006, she started working as a collaborator for the Modern Language Centre (CLM) at the University of Santiago de Compostela. At the same time, she is working on a doctoral dissertation on the acquisition of English as a second language to children with hearing deficiencies, under the supervision of Ignacio Palacios Martínez.
