Martiña Piñeiro obtained a BA in English Language and Literature at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She spent her junior year at the University of Hull (UK) as an Erasmus student. After graduating, she moved to Indiana State University, where she obtained her Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and worked as a Spanish teacher. She is currently writing her doctoral dissertation and teaching an English course at the University of Santiago. At the same time, she is involved in two different research projects led by Ignacio M. Palacios.
