isabel balteiro fernández
Isabel Balteiro obtained her BA and MA in English Studies followed by a Ph.D with distinction at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). She taught at the University of Granada for a short period and she is currently a Lecturer at the University of Alicante (Spain). Apart from several articles and book chapters concerning the study of English word-formation and lexis, she is also the author of two internationally relevant books, A Contribution to the Study of Conversion in English (Waxmann, 2007) and The Directionality of Conversion in English. A Dia-Synchronic Study (Peter Lang, 2007). She has been awarded the AEDEAN national prize “Leocadio Martín Mingorance” in 2007 and 2008 for each of the books mentioned. She is a member of the editorial board of two international journals, Glossa and Onomasiological Online.
