Begoña Soneira obtained a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela in June 1998. She also holds a Master Degree in International Business Management from this university. Begoña taught Spanish at Brown University (Providence, RI) and Business English in the Business School of Lugo, University of Santiago de Compostela, as part of her Ph.D program in English language. From 2004 to 2008 she has been doing historical research in the Instituto Galego de Información (Sargadelos) under the supervision of Isaac Díaz Pardo. During this period she published four books: O Deseño dende Milán coa figura crítica de Tomás Maldonado (2005), O Drama dos Arquitectos na Guerra Civil e no Exilio, O Arquitecto Constantino Candeira (2006) and Unha Ollada ó Laboratorio de Formas ós 44 anos da súa creación (2007). She is currently doing research for her thesis on English for Specific Purposes.
