Alba Cachafeiro Requeijo

Alba Cachafeiro graduated in Translation and Interpreting from Pompeu Fabra University in 2003. Two years later she was certified as a sworn translator by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2005 she obtained a Master’s degree in International Trade from the University of Santiago de Compostela, which led her to work as a translator and marketing assistant in several national and international companies and public institutions. In 2008 she was admitted to the PhD Programme Current Trends in English Studies and its Applications at the University of Santiago. She is currently doing research work on English loan words in Spanish women magazines under the supervision of Dr. Ignacio Palacios.
